When I was a teenager my mom started a retail business. It was supposed to be the path out for her…from financial hardship as a single mother, dependence on others, and years of struggle and sacrifice. It was supposed to provide a path to to something fulfillment of her dreams and financial security for her and I. I watched my mom start the business triumphantly, ready to take on the world and create a better future for the both of us. I was so proud of her!
Then, I watched as she struggled, trying to figure out how to make it work alone. I watched as she sacrificed more and more time, money and life force. I witnessed the countless ways she tried, stumbled, struggled and got back up to do it all again. I admired her so much but it was painful to see it unfolding and not know how to help. Eventually I watched my mom give up her business because that path to success never came fully into focus for her.
Today, it is my mission to help as many entrepreneurs as possible build successful businesses on their own terms, with high-performing sale teams behind them. And without the struggle, pain and sacrifice.
Because struggle, pain and sacrifice are not necessary for business success.
I’ve learned one great lesson over the past 16 years of entrepreneurship.
The true definition of success is building something that not only looks good from the outside, but feels good on the inside.
I’m the one who stands beside entrepreneurs and sales people and whispers in their ear when they need it, “You’ve got this. You can do it your way” I’m the one who holds a greater vision for my clients and their sales teams until than they can hold that vision for themselves, and step confidently into it.
I’m the one who holds entrepreneurs and sales people accountable for helping to change the world with their business.
I’m the one who will fight for profit because it’s the first step toward true wealth in business. I’m an expert at creating sales, revenues and profit in business.
Show me how I can build business my way. Give me a sign that I don’t have to change who I am to be successful in sales. Inspire me to go for it, even if I’m scared. Tell me the truth even when I don’t want to hear it. Help me stay on my own path to success even when it gets dark. Tell me everything is going to be more than ok, it’s going to be amazing.
What I do for entrepreneurs and sales people can be distilled into one focus. Encouraging someone to be successful on their own terms. It’s simultaneously the most direct path to success and the hardest thing to start.
